Summer Outfit Formulas

I remember thinking back in high school that I wish I would have had to wear a uniform. Years later, my kids did have to wear them to school, and getting dressed was so much easier.

As a personal stylist, I find myself thinking about uniforms and how to get dressed using a formula. In fact, I create looks for my clients in lookbooks and digitize their wardrobes which also brings these formulas to life! Creating a well curated closet helps getting dressed easier, and so does digitizing your clothes so that you can see what you own on in an app at your fingertips! Formula dressing - easy peasy.

Some of my go-to summer outfit formulas at the current moment are:

Linen trouser shorts and a tank

Easy dress over a swimsuit

White pants and red sandals

I often tell my clients that when they find a style that they love, to buy a few colors. For example, if I find them a trouser short that is perfect and it comes in black and tan - get them both! Same with tanks, and tees. This creates easy formula dressing. I also find that adding a pop of color with shoes can mix up the formulas as well.
